Joint optimization of production lot-sizing and condition-based maintenance in an imperfect production process with dependent indicators

This paper addresses the integrated optimization of economic manufacturing quantity and condition-based maintenance policy a deteriorating system. The considered facility produces single type product is inspected at end each production run. Upon inspection, two dependent indicators are revealed: one implies whether process in control or not other represents deterioration level facility. dependence between that whenever exceeds pre-determined level, system becomes more vulnerable such may switch to out-of-control state. In state, proportion defective items fabricated.
